I started my career as a Local 600 film loader, then moved up to 1st AC. I found myself on a lot of 16/35mm film shoots and developed a passion for underwater and stunt unit work (obligatory IMDb link). All this has carried through to my cinematography - I love action, new challenges and telling stories in unexpected ways.
As a DP, I’m on the lookout for scripts that surprise me. There’s nothing better than working with a director who’s passionate about their project! I love chatting about the look and feel they envision, and translating that into lighting diagrams, crew hires, lenses, LUTS — bringing the story to life. My favorite thing to overhear from video village is “This looks even better than I had it in my head!”
